I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Release Blitz! This Is Wild By Natasha Madison

My parents told me I skated before I walked. When I was eighteen I was drafted into the N.H.L third overall, playing in Los Angeles—the city of dreams. What more could I ask for? I played hard, but eventually, I partied even harder. Five years later I was traded a week after I entered rehab. There was no time for anything except my health and making sure I’d come out on top. I had to be better. There wasn’t another option.
One of the rules of recovery was ‘don’t fall in love’ and I made it a top priority. She was off limits in every single way.
Until it was too late

When you grow up surrounded by hockey players you know one thing for sure, I was never going to settle down with one. Heck, I didn’t even know what icing was. I was too busy climbing the corporate ladder, becoming one of the most successful realtors in New York City. I wasn’t interested in dating or anything that got in my way.
First, he was my client and then he became my friend.
One night, one decision, one act can derail everything.
When push comes to shove, I’m only certain that, This is Wild.

I had a review already written and I completely deleted the entire thing. Why you may ask? Well it is because the more I thought about This Is Wild, the more that I took into consideration my personal emotions and the reason behind them, that my review, while it was a good one, just didn’t express what this book did to me. Viktor’s story hit close to home for me. I have had people in my life who have fought their demons and addiction and won. I have had people in my life that have fought their demons and addiction and have lost. I currently have people in my life who are at that crossroad, that they will face their demons and win and some who will ignore them and lose. So, for me, This Is Wild was more emotional to me when we are reading about Viktor and his struggle after leaving rehab because of those people in my life. Addiction just doesn’t take over the addict’s life, it spreads to family members, friends, and it takes a strong person to love an addict, recovering or not, and Zoe had that strength even if she didn’t believe it at times.

My heart broke for Viktor more than once, the daily fight to stay clean, to push away the temptation of using again when things got hard. The best thing to happen to him besides getting clean was his trade to New York. Zoe may at times come across as anti-love, but deep down under that hard-outer shell, she really was the perfect match to Viktor, they both made each other better in the best of ways. We get to see all of the Stone and Grant family, and we see how they welcome Viktor not just to the team but to the family. I loved all the banter between Matthew and Max, Evan and Viktor, Zoe and Zara, well you get the picture, more than once I would bust out laughing because of something they said to each other. In fact, I am wanting to go back and read the Something So books as well as This Is Crazy just because I loved those books so much and want to fall in love with them once more.

This Is Wild is a must read in this book whore’s opinion, it is the perfect balance of emotional, funny, sexy, hockey and family. Natasha Madison once again wrote an amazing book that needs to be at the top of your TBR lists!

Release Blitz! Out To Find Freedom By Lila Rose

Death and pain.
They surround me. Hold me hostage, refusing to let go.
But I want to survive. Want to fight. I just don’t know if I have it in me.
Maybe dying would be better.
It’s the break in the shadows that gives me hope.
When I look at him, all I can see is light.
So now I’m out to find freedom.

Private investigator Ryan Warden doesn’t know he’s moved next door to people he would put behind bars in an instant. Nor does he realise a sleepless night could lead him on the right track with the case he’s working on.
He certainly doesn’t expect Emerson Spence.
What he does know is he has to stay away from her. She’s been beaten and broken. She deserves to live freely while learning and experiencing things in life like any young woman should.
He’s too old for her. It’s better to stay away.
If he can.

If you have read any of the Hawks MC books then you know who Warden is, and I personally have been waiting for his story and I must say I wasn’t disappointed! Out To Find Freedom was worth the wait on getting Warden’s book! I am going to keep this review very short because I don’t want to spoil anything for you all when you read it. I will say this, I think that this is the most emotional I have ever gotten from a Lila Rose book. I went on a roller coaster ride of emotions and that ride continued from the beginning until the very end. Emerson and Warden will take over your life while reading their story and trust me when I say don’t make plans to do anything else but read and feel while reading Out To Find Freedom.

Release Blitz! Until December By Aurora Rose Reynolds

Gareth Black is drawn to December Mayson the moment he spots her across the room at her cousin’s wedding. When he approaches the beautiful woman, she captivates him with her shyness and wit, making him crave her.

With a pull so strong it’s impossible to ignore, December knows there’s something between her and Gareth. She just hopes they’re capable of jumping the hurdles ahead of them.

Two boys, an ex, a surprise that will change everything, and a disgruntled co-worker, guarantee these two will have their work cut out for them if they are going to find their happily ever after.

I have been a huge fan of the original Until series and I am just as big of a fan of the Until Her/Him books as well. Until December was another emotionally packed romance that once again has you believing in the Boom. The angst, the romance, the level of heat between December and Gareth, and the bond between December and his sons just made me fall even further in love with this book. In fact, I ended up doing an entire reread of the original books and the Her/Him ones.

I connected with December a lot, I felt like there were at times little pieces of myself in her character and I love that I did because it just drew me more into the story. Gareth, at first, I wanted to beat with a baseball bat for some of the things he did and said to December, but once you got underneath that hard shell at times, you could see how much his boys and December meant to him. December and Gareth really were perfect for one another, and the further you read the more this shows.

I think one of the reasons why I love this author and these books as much as I do because she makes you feel like it is your Boom in every book. She reminds us to believe in the romance and the happily ever after that we all deserve in life. Until December is a must read for romance lovers and one that I highly recommend.

Release Blitz! This For That By Bella Jewel

What would you do, for revenge?

Dear Diary,
Oh, who am I kidding?

Dear Life,
You’re cruel. You’re heartless. You’re sick. You’re really damned twisted.
Do you know that?
Still doesn’t cut it.

Dear Fate…yeah, that’s the one.

Dear Fate,
What the actual hell?
What exactly did I do to deserve the life you paved for me?
Did I bother you so?
Was I awful?
Did I not pray enough?
You took my life into your hands, fate, and you twisted it.
You turned it into a broken mess, and you made it ugly.
You made me ugly.
A life for a life.
An eye for an eye.
That’s how it goes, right?
Her life. Now mine.
Someone is coming for me, but you already know that, don’t you fate?
Did you plan it?
Did you even try to tell them it wasn’t my fault?
That it was an accident?
That I didn’t mean for it to happen?
Or is this part of your sick and twisted plan?
I have one last question, fate, before you go…
Have you got a hero for me?
Because I’m going to need one.
