About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Mafia/MC Monday! Reaper's Property By Joanna Wylde

Some of my favorite books are Mafia or MC themed so why not share that love with all of you. Some may be just spotlights others like today's post will have a review.  Now I have read this book multiple times but never had reviewed it until now.  This is still one of my favorite MC Romances and was one of the first I had read. So I hope you enjoy my picks and discover a new book to read.  As always leave a comment with some of your own suggestions I am always on the lookout for a new book!

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

I can’t believe that with the number of times I have read Reaper’s Property that I never reviewed it until now.  I just finished what was probably my sixth maybe seventh reread of Reaper’s Property and I still love it as much as I did the first time I read it if not more.  This was one of my first MC Romance reads and honestly it is still one of my favorites, maybe it is the fact that it was one of my first’s and I feel sentimental about it or maybe it is because it still evokes the emotions it did the first time I read it.

Horse, yes that is our sexy, sometimes pain in the ass, dirty talking biker’s name.  I still snicker when I think of why he is called that and yes if you are thinking what I am thinking you are probably right.  Now did I want to run him over with his own motorcycle a time or ten, yes I did but even though he can still piss me off something fierce, I think that is what I love about him.  I still feel the emotions, the sexiness, the want that he makes you feel.  I love what he does to get Marie, I can even tolerate when he’s a stupid ass towards her as well.  He’s a man, I swear they are born with the asshole dumb ass gene.  Marie she was innocent going into the lifestyle that Horse lives, she has no idea about the biker life.  What she goes through and how Horse takes care of the situation was great.  She comes into her own and ends up being the perfect match for Horse.  I must say I love a woman who can wield a gun like she does.  It’s both funny and serious so if you have read it you know what I mean if not well then read the book to find out.

Reaper’s Property is the first book in the series and is still my favorite.  If you have not yet read Joanna Wylde make sure you read Reaper’s Property and if you have pick it up and enjoy Horse and Marie’s story all over again.  I can’t wait to keep rediscovering some of my favorite Reaper’s and maybe a Devil’s Jack too ;)
