About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Breaching The Contract By Chantal Fernando

New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando returns with a brand new series about a brigade of lawyers who, despite being bad boys at heart, always end up just on the right side of the law.

Katerina Dawson knows exactly what she wants from life. And as the new associate at the top law firm in the city, she’s ready to live out her dreams of becoming a criminal lawyer. But going on coffee runs and babysitting kids during the day was definitely not what she had in mind. She knows that anyone else would kill to be in her shoes, but she has to draw the line somewhere. That’s easier said than done, though, when Kat has to confront her handsome boss…

Tristan Channing and Jaxon Bentley run a successful law firm together and the two partners couldn’t be busier right now. When Jaxon suddenly takes a leave of absence, Tristan begrudgingly assumes responsibility of the new associate, the hotnew associate, who has curves for days. Needing to keep his distance from her, Tristan sends Kat on needless errands and has her doing work even an intern wouldn’t touch, like picking up his kids. But his plan backfires when he sees his children grow attached to Kat and sees her getting comfortable in his home. It triggers something deep within him, and it feels right to have her there. Will Tristan be able to keep his work and personal lives separate, or will he find that his heart holds the final verdict?

I was so excited when I saw that Chantal Fernando was releasing a new series, I have always really liked her books and Breaching The Contract is another one that I really liked.  Some may know that I am a paralegal, well a stay at home one for the moment but the law is something that I have always loved.  There aren’t too many lawyer themed romances out there; some are amazing some not so I tend to be a bit more aware if something is not right.  I will admit I was so into Breaching The Contract that I didn’t even notice if there were any of those dreaded issues.

Kat is just starting her position at the firm and wants to make sure that she not only does her job right but proves to the partners that they made the right choice in hiring her.  What she doesn’t expect is one of the partners, Tristan, being a total asshole to her and no I am not exaggerating he really is an asshole.  Hmmm sounds like a few attorneys I know actually, but anyways he does not try to make Kat’s life or job any easier.  Tristan is a single dad and really only shows that softer side of himself to his kids but he can also be strict at the same time.  The more these two interact you can almost feel the chemistry in waves.  I liked that Kat didn’t back down and wouldn’t let him break her. When something happens I really wanted to beat Tristan but at the same time I understood why he reacted that way, I am sure I would have as well if I was in his position.

Breaching The Contract is the first book in this new series and I already am excited about the next book.  It is a fairly quick read so grab your kindle one afternoon and read this one I think you will really like it.
