From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes the final sexy standalone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans. I used to believe there were lines in life you don't cross. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. Until I learned people don't always practice what they preach. I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything. Then I got the call no one wants, and I’m back in New Orleans. What I don't expect is for her to be here too. Another line you don’t cross? Don't touch your best friend’s little sister. She's always been off-limits. Too bad I don't follow the rules anymore.
Beneath The Truth is the final book in the Beneath series and for me it is a bittersweet ending. I discovered Meghan March when she released the first book in the series and have stayed a strong fan throughout.
For me Beneath The Truth had a different feel to it, and while it worked and worked well I wonder if somethings got lost. There is a lot going on in this one, was it too much? Yes and no. Did I still love it? Yes I did and here is why. I was so invested into finding the truth that Rhett and Ari’s relationship while it was hot, sweet and fun to watch unfold, but at times I felt like it was overshadowed by everything else that was happening. Did their relationship lack the depth and development it needed? Nope I think that this book needed to be the way that it was because there were so many questions that needed answers. Ari and Rhett work well together, they understand each other and the fact that Ari had a huge crush on Rhett throughout her life and that Rhett in a sense handled that with care in the past is what made me love him even more. Ari was a bit geeky, a bit naïve at times but at the same time extremely smart, she was a really good balanced character who I instantly connected with and enjoyed. My heart broke for both of them when truths are revealed but I loved how they not only supported each other but lifted each other up when they had self-doubts.
Beneath The Truth may be the end of the series but it is also the beginning of something new, something that I am really excited reading about and can’t wait for it to release. Meghan March always writes books that I can’t help but devour and Beneath The Truth is no exception. Read this and the entire series you won’t be disappointed.
Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had.
