About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Fearless King By Maya Hughes

My first crush. My first heartbreak. My brother’s best friend.

The butterflies in my stomach turned into full blown eagles the second our lips touched. A kiss under the stars that changed our relationship forever.

After a lifetime of wishing, I stared up into Ford’s eyes with his fingers caressing my cheek and my heart racing.

The evening ended with my heart bleeding on the ballroom floor.

He destroyed my heart two years ago...but now he wants back in my life.

This time I won’t fall under his spell. I’ll resist his sexy, scruffy beard, and panty-melting smirk.

I thought I was over him. Hell, I fully planned to wave to him through my rearview mirror...but with one text, in the middle of the night, I know I'm in over my head.

Ford: I need you.

I have been wanting Ford and Olivia’s story since we first got hints of the feelings, they had for each other. I think the build up of what we all were waiting on added to their story. The history between them, Olivia been the younger sister of Ford’s best friend, the forbidden aspect of wanting your best friend’s sister just added to the story and made it more anticipated.

Expectations. That single word can make or break a person. To hold yourself up to someone’s else’s expectations, even if it means not being happy is a huge burden on some people. It sure was for Olivia and I think that is why at times I truly struggled with her character. She couldn’t even admit it to herself that what she was doing wasn’t what she truly wanted but only to keep her brother happy and not disappoint him. Ford in a way broke my heart. He didn’t want to hurt anyone, kept secrets and lost trust at times because of it. His feelings for Olivia will he ever show her how he feels or will he try to not disappoint her brother yet again? Yes there is something in that question and when you read the book you will know what I mean.

While I overall enjoyed Fearless Kings, I had trouble with Olivia and I believe that what made me not absolutely love it that I had expected too. I am curious to read the next book, especially after how Colm acted in this one I question if he can ever make right what he wronged.

Author Bio

Maya Hughes has always loved romance novels. One look at her Kindle is confirmation. She started writing her first romance novel while pregnant with her third child and she hasn’t looked back. Now, her romance writing addiction has replaced her romance reading addiction.

You can find her writing on her foldable keyboard and phone anytime inspiration strikes. Her sweet and steamy stories range from rockstars to small towns and everything in between. When she’s not writing, she’s playing with her three kids, running errands or vegging on the couch with the love of her life and biggest fan, her husband.
