About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Review! Balance By Lucia Franco

Balance (Off Balance, #1)Adrianna Rossi is no stranger to the rigorous demands required of her body. Years of pain and determination make her one of the best. Olympic glory is the ultimate goal, and she'll do anything to achieve it. Even if that means leaving home to attend World Cup Academy of Gymnastics, a training center that serves one purpose—producing champions.

Perfection, precision, and dedication are required of his athletes. When two time Olympian Konstantin Kournakova is persuaded into training the young hopeful, he immediately regrets it. She doesn't come close to his high standards. As the relentless pursuit of her dream keeps her striving, a passion is ignited within him.

Kova's power and domination, coupled with Adrianna's fierce tenacity, reveal there is more for her body to learn. Every interaction can be misconstrued, but there’s no mistaking the darkening of his gaze, the lingering of his touch, or the illicit image of his bare skin pressed against hers. Integrity is on the line. One toe off the beam and their forbidden desires could ruin everything they’ve worked for, throwing it all off balance.

WARNING: This novel contains explicit content.

I love so many different genres of books but the forbidden romance ones are some of my top favorite books because they have that feeling of this is so wrong but feels so right and damn the consequences. Balance, I must say surprised me and I had a feeling I would like it but I didn’t realize that I would end up loving is as much as I did and that it consumed me. This is not a short book by any means and I read the entire thing over a 24 hour period. I was consumed with Kova and Ria.

Kova. I called this man many names throughout Balance. I loved him, I hated him, I fell under his spell one minute and wanted to castrate him the next. If you are looking for the ultimate asshole character that you love to hate and hate to love then you found it with Kova. Ria has tunnel vision when it comes to her training and when it comes to Kova. She wants what she wants and the consequences be damned. These two are at times explosive and reckless, the chemistry between them not only fuels the fires of their passion but tempers as well at times. One lashes out and the other strikes blows that cut deeper than any knife could go. Add in the other elements, Katja, Hayden, and the rest of the gymnasts you don’t know what will happen on the next page, hell even the next paragraph.

We have only begun to see the relationship between Kova and Ria begin and we are left off with a cliffhanger that will make you want to scream. Lucia Franco has not only impressed this book whore with the growth of her writing since her first book, but also with how I am now utterly and totally obsessed with Kova and Ria and am so glad that I finally read this book. If you are looking for a forbidden romance, then grab Balance, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
