A
FLIRTY, SEXY, AND HEARTFELT FORBIDDEN SPORTS ROMANCE SET IN THE WORLD OF
PROFESSIONAL DANCE. (STANDALONE)

I came to L.A. with dreams bigger than me.
To learn from the best choreographers in the business and secure a professional dance gig working for Hollywood’s elite.
Everything was going according to plan—until I was literally shoved into the arms of the one man who could make or break my career.
Come to find out, it wasn’t my career I had to worry about.
It was my heart.
Theo
Everything about
Alexandra “Lex” Quinn screamed amateur, save for the way she moved across the
dance floor.
She was athleticism and grace, precision and passion, and she had a stage presence I couldn’t tear my eyes from.
I wanted her...on my team, in my bed.
There was only one problem...
I couldn’t have both.
She was athleticism and grace, precision and passion, and she had a stage presence I couldn’t tear my eyes from.
I wanted her...on my team, in my bed.
There was only one problem...
I couldn’t have both.
I am going to be honest, for a while; there I wasn’t sure if
I would finish Center Of Gravity. I
am so glad I stuck it out because I ended up REALLY enjoying it a lot. I will
say the addition of the music choreography links throughout the book not only
grabbed my attention but also really had me picturing the moves that were
happening in the book as well as had this book whore dancing in her seat.
I struggled with Lex’s character, her non-existent faith in
herself, and sometimes it felt like she was one-dimensional. After a while
though I warmed up to her and saw more of her personality and self-worth come
out When I was little I was in dance
classes, and one of my regrets is that I quit. I loved dance, so I think once I
was able to really see who Lex was I felt more understanding of her doubts and
fears. I saw a little piece of me that I had forgotten existed. I really
believe her relationship, even during the rough times; with Theo is what made
her blossom. Now Theo was a jerk more
than once but I also saw his struggle with his love for dance and the role he
now plays, he was losing the fun aspect of it. These two really balanced each
other and helped heal some of those self-doubts.
Yes, there was of course some drama and some of it I wish
wouldn’t have been as drawn out as it was but at the end of the day did add to
the angst and emotional aspects to the story. While at first Center Of Gravity wasn’t a book I was sure about, it ended up
being one that I really liked. I don’t know if the author has plans on doing
books for some of the secondary characters, but if she does then I want to read
them.
