About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Too Bad So Sad By Lani Lynn Vale

Tyler Cree has never been good at the whole look and don’t touch thing.
From the moment he was old enough to walk on his own two feet, he’s been looking for trouble.
Trouble comes in many forms…quite a few of those forms being the female persuasion.
Tyler knows what girls want—a bad boy. And he has the bad boy image down pat.
Ex-military—check.
Hot cop—double check.
A bike between his legs and a devil may care attitude—oh, yeah.
All the girls want him, yet none of them will have him—at least not all of him, anyway. A certain appendage they can have all they want. His heart, however, is not up for grabs. The useless organ inside his chest was broken and battered, mutilated by the one woman he thought would keep it safe.
Spoiler alert: she ripped it to shreds and set fire to the pieces.
To protect himself, Tyler keeps everyone at arm’s length, and never lets anyone get too close.
Then Reagan Rose Alvarez barrels into his life, and trespasses on not only his property, but straight into his abused heart. One glance is all it takes, and he’s suddenly thinking about things he hasn’t thought for quite some time—thoughts that a man like him should never have about a woman like her.
One moment of weakness is all it takes, and suddenly he has no other choice but to go on the offensive.
Keeping her is the only other option now.
Turns out, his heart isn’t as broken as he thought it was.
The only problem is, now the little she-devil holds it in the palm of her hands, and she has no clue just how much power she holds.
Too Bad So Sad is the latest in the Simple Man series and after me not loving the last book I was worried that I wouldn’t like this one either.  Well that worry didn’t last very long because I really enjoyed Tyler and Reagan’s book. There was a little bit of everything in this one. The funny moments we live for in books by Lani LynnVale, the angst, the trials the characters must go through, the suspense, the drama, just everything was balanced well and the plot worked well.

From the first meeting Tyler and Reagan are, well, let’s just say, wasn’t the best first impression for either. Tyler can be a hard ass at times and Reagan well if you looked smartass up in the dictionary her picture would most likely be pictured there. These two are like water and oil, they do not mix, at first. Watching the tension between them, bloom into something more was both entertaining and hot. The push and pull, the banter, and the chemistry just continued to build. When something happens to Reagan, and Tyler well let’s just say Tyler messes up I really wanted to shoot him with his own gun.

There are other things that are going on in this book that sets up for a new series and I liked how it was a part of this plot and that it didn’t take away from Tyler and Reagan’s story. It added to it without being a distraction.

Too Bad So Sad made up for my dislike of the previous book and then some. Lani Lynn Vale continues to be an author that I really enjoy and want to continue to read. Too Bad So Sad should be on your TBR lists for sure.
