Reese Noble chased this dream for a decade.
Now it was here.
The NFL.
A pro career.
All eyes on the league’s new kicker.
Millions of people expecting her to fail.
But Reese wasn’t a novelty and the spot she landed on the New Orleans Steamers was one she planned to keep.
With her teammates giving her hell and the world doubting her every move, Reese will have to fight harder than anyone else to make her dream a reality.
Even if that means following the lead of Quarterback Ryder Glenn —the only man who brought her to the edge of ecstasy and the depths of heartbreak. The same man who broke her heart ten years before.
In this city, there is a thin line between sin and sainthood and only the strongest can walk it.
Roughing The Kicker
is a second chance romance that not only at times broke my heart, but it also
warmed a piece of it as well. I love sports romances, this is a well-known fact
but what I have been really wanting more of are sports romances that feature a
woman in what would typically be a man’s position. Roughing The Kicker does
just that. I was hooked from the very first few pages and honestly didn’t want
to put it down.
Reese and Ryder have a past that ended in heartbreak and
loss. When Reese shows up to be the new kicker for Ryder’s football team where
he is the starting quarterback. The history between them makes their first
encounters both full of chemistry and heartbreak; because one isn’t ready to
forgive even if they don’t see how much pain the other is in. I wanted to kick
Ryder in his balls more than once because you could tell while he wanted to
hate Reese he was also denying his other feelings as well. Reese wants to keep
her spot as the first female kicker in professional football, but what if that
means her heart hurting more and more. The chemistry between Reese and Ryder is so apparent
every time they get together, that sexual tension so thick you can cut it with
a knife. I wanted them to work so badly, did they though; well you have to read
the book to find out.
I am excited about this new series, and I am already wanting
the next book asap. I really hope we get more sports romances with females
taking a male’s position on the team, because growing up a tomboy I played
football with the boys and was taught I could do what they did as well. If you
are looking for a new sports romance make sure Roughing The Kicker is on your TBR list.
