About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Surrender By Amy Daws

One night of complete surrender is all it takes.

Gareth Harris is Manchester United’s reclusive star defender. He has control over all aspects of his life. But a lifetime of supporting his siblings and filling in for an emotionally absent father has taken its toll.

Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England.

Both Gareth and Sloan are in need of a release.

A moment in time where they can forget about their pasts and family pressures...and just...

…surrender.

No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.

Surrender is part one of The Final Harris Brother Duet and concludes with Dominate. The Final Harris Brother Duet reads great as a duo, but to maximize enjoyment, check out the first three brothers’ books in Challenge, Endurance, and Keeper.
This is a hard review for me to type for a number of reasons but mainly because I have liked the previous books in this series and I like this author very much. I struggled with Surrender for a lot of various reasons, reasons I can’t say because I won’t be spoiling it but ones that let’s just say I have a personal knowledge about certain things that happen, and I wasn’t sold on how it was playing out.

I struggled to connect with Sloan throughout the book because I felt as if she wasn’t strong enough and that she needed to stand up for herself in certain situations and she needed to treat Gareth with more respect. That being said Gareth’s character I could connect with and the reasons why he is doing certain things. I honestly kept reading for Gareth alone. I loved getting the glimpses of his brother and their wives as well as his sister.

Now I didn’t hate the book, contrary to what you may be thinking with this review. I can’t go into a lot of depth because I could accidentally spoil it and I refuse to do that. I am vested enough to want to read the Dominate because I want to see how things are going to play out. I love Amy Daws books and while this one may not have been a goal, sorry had to get some sort of soccer I mean football reference in there someone, I am looking forward to Dominate.
