A single father
struggles to change for his daughters and the woman he loves in this second
book in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series from New York Times
bestselling author Chantal Fernando.
As a single father
of two girls and the sergeant at arms for the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club,
Jack “Knuckles” Chester doesn’t have much free time. And having earned his road
name from his reputation as a fighter, Knuckles isn’t one to back away from a
challenge.
But what he'll
never admit out loud is that his two daughters have changed him irrevocably,
softened him even. And these two girls are the only women who will ever hold
his heart forever. That is, until he meets the cousin of another biker’s old
lady.
Celina is nothing
like the women Knuckles used to date. She’s a journalist for the local
newspaper, dresses well, and basically just has her life together. And the last
thing she wants is to be involved with a Cursed Raven. But when the ripped,
badass biker worms his way into her heart, she has trouble remembering all the
reasons they would never work.
But when a scandal
at her newspaper breaks the thin trust she has with Knuckles, will she walk
away for good? Or will Knuckles fight to keep Celina in his life?
So I hate saying this but I didn’t like Knuckle Down nearly as much as I did the previous book. I love this
author’s books so it pains me to type this review.
I was so excited to read about Knuckles, the single dad of
two girls and hoped that he would be matched with a kick ass woman who deserved
him in her life. Unfortunately what we got was Celina, who happens to be the
cousin of Erin who we met in the previous book. Celina was immatures, childish
at times and I just didn’t think she was the right match for someone like
Knuckles at all. I am not going to go into a huge review stating all the things
that didn’t work for me, but I will say the only reason why I did not set the book
aside and move onto something else was for Knuckles. Plain and simple he was
what kept me reading.
While I didn’t like this one at all, I am still looking
forward to the rest of the series because I really did like the previous book. While
this one didn’t work for me as much as I had hoped, as always form your own
opinion, what didn’t work for me may very well work for you.
