She’s a girl with a past she’s desperate to hide.
But I need something from her.
And I know she won’t help me. Not willingly.
She’ll need some persuading.
Lucky for her, I can do that.
Something about this girl makes me curious, though, and it’s more than the scars that line her back. She’s on the edge of something. Something bad. She’s like a perfect, beautiful doll coming apart at the seams. And the last string is about to snap.
She thinks I’ll hurt her. Break her.
But thing is, she’s already broken. And she and I, we’re two peas in a pod. She’s my match, the perfect opponent. She’ll fight me to the finish, but I’ll win. I always do.
Because I’m a man used to getting what I want. And what I want is her.
Author’s Note: Giovanni is a STANDALONE dark mafia romance set in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia World. It’s an emotionally gripping enemies-to-lovers romance with a hard-earned HEA.
I have been on a mafia kick as of late and Giovanni was another one that I just couldn’t put down. Natasha Knight has quickly become an automatic must-read author for me. Giovanni is set in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia World series, but it is a standalone so don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books, but you really should! This is a dark romance so there may be some triggers if you have them, it can get intense at times as well as emotional.
Giovanni has a presence to him, one that when reading you can almost feel the power he has. He is intense, not a person who you want to anger or to hurt what he considers his. What he wants he gets, and he not only wants Emilia, he wants her brother because of what he has done. And no I am not telling you so you have to read the book to find out. Emilia is strong but at the same time broken, she has an inner fire that can burn hot when it needs to. I loved them together, they strengthened the other person and also helped heal as well.
If you are looking for a darker mafia book to read Giovanni is one you will want to have on your TBR list, as well as the Benedetti Brothers Mafia World series because these are all books I highly recommend.
USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance, Natasha Knight specializes in dark, tortured heroes. Happily-Ever-Afters are almost always guaranteed, but she likes to put her characters through hell to get them there. She’s evil like that.
