When one too many citizens of Hostel, Texas tries to back her against the wall, he’s had enough.
After all, you don’t mess with what’s his.
Get You Some is my favorite book of the series so far! I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the chapter headers. If you are a fan of Lani Lynn Vale you know how hilarious some of these can be. I also have to point out how much I loved their names, Johnny and June yes like Johnny Cash and June Carter. They did their names justice.
Johnny is the newest member of the police department and his first interaction with June was, well it was funny as hell. June has an unfortunate bad reputation and while she has made mistakes in the past, she is judged by the town because of whom her parents are. The banter between them is spot on and just adds to their connection. Johnny’s ex tries to cause trouble and it could mean that June may not have her Johnny after all, I wanted to slap his ex more than once and Johnny a couple of times as well. Does Johnny get his June? Well you have to read the book to find out!
I am already planning to read Get You Some again really soon, this needs to be on your TBR lists for sure.
