Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.
I was that girl.
You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her two best friends—who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.
By reckless, I mean the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like french fries, so there’s that.
He took me home, and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life. Well, until it came to a screeching and rather unwelcome halt.
There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking, “What are you doing to my daddy?”
Just kill me now . . . or so I thought.
Come to find out, the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.
Who doesn’t love a good single dad romance? I know I am
really loving them at the moment so when I find a good one like Mister Tonight I want everyone to read
it. Mister Tonight was sweet, it was
funny, it was sexy and a fairly quick read. Kendall Ryan had me hooked within a
few paragraphs all the way until the end.
Kate and Hunter have amazing chemistry and after an embarrassing
encounter with Hunter’s four year old daughter you just knew this one going to
be a fun one. Kate doesn’t want a commitment and while Hunter may not shy away
from casual it doesn’t mean he may not want more. Add into the mix the adorable
Maddie and if you don’t love this little girl then I don’t know what to tell
you. The dynamic between the three of them was special. It’s amazing at times
how your thoughts will change when the right person comes into your life.
I really enjoyed Mister
Tonight and am looking forward to the next book by Ms. Ryan. Add this one
to your TBR lists!
