About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Blog Tour! Rebel Heart By Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Rush and Gia’s story continues in the gripping conclusion to Rebel Heir… How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons: Sleep with your boss. Check. Blow all your money on a rental you can’t afford. Check. How to walk away from a man you fall in love with at the end of a summer: …I’ll let you know when I figure it out. Rebel Heir is the second book in the Rush Series Duet. Book One, Rebel Heir, is available for sale now.

This is one of those reviews that is hard to type because I don’t want to give away spoilers and I had some mixed feelings while reading Rebel Heart. Now don’t think I didn’t like it because I did, a lot actually and because I won’t put spoilers in my review it is going to be difficult to really explain those mixed feelings but I am going to try.

At the end of Rebel Heir we were all shocked and wondering how this situation would play out for Rush and Gia. I know I was pacing waiting for this ARC to hit my kindle just so I could see what happened. Now, do I understand Rush’s reaction and feelings, yes do I like what he does, nope not at all. Again, one of those things I just can’t say. I lost my faith in Rush for a while, and I hate to say that because I really do love Rush, but I regained that faith once more. I felt for Gia, she was in a tight spot but at the same time she brought some of this on herself and I was just shaking my head while reading thinking to myself “Girl, you messed up for sure.”

I felt more angst and heart wrenching stomach knotting moments in Rebel Heart than I ever did in the first book and guess what, that was a good thing it meant I wanted Rush and Gia together, that I was invested and even when I wanted to scream I couldn’t stop reading. This book will get you emotional; it will get you possibly temporarily cussing Ms. Ward and Ms. Keeland but trust me when I say it is worth every single emotion it draws from you. Rebel Heart will have you remembering that DNA doesn’t mean family and DNA doesn’t define who you are as a person, what matters most is how you are as a person, who you deem as your family and that love is stronger than DNA could ever be. I can’t wait to read more from my favorite writing duo and I hope that we may get books for some of the secondary characters as well. Another must read from Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland for sure!

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons: Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check. Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check. How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons: Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season. Check. Check. Check. I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss. Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town. Especially when he’s mean to you. Or so I thought. Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark. That was sort of how it all started with Rush. And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down. I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close. I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me. As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated. All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
