While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Boost! Hothead by Stella Rhys

He's the hottest player in Major League Baseball, the most notorious playboy in all of Manhattan...

And my fake fiancé for the next three months.

I was drunk-dialing my ex the night I met him.

Six-three, sexy as sin and so incredibly rude I could smack the asshole smirk right off his face. Long story short, we got off to a bad start. But when the tabloids interpret our sparring as Drew Maddox "groveling" with a "mystery brunette," his agent presents us both a proposal:

Shacking up as a couple this summer.

It’s an alleged “win-win.” I need to prove to my ex that I'm fine. Drew needs to prove to his team that he's stable. Thanks to his on-field brawling and never-ending lady drama, Drew Maddox has suddenly found himself on the trade block - which means he needs a fast, easy way to show the team that he's settled down.

Hence this fiancé thing.

Our fights are real, our kisses are fake, and thanks to the nonstop heat between us, I’m starting to mix up all my signs. But whether it’s real or fake, there’s one thing I do know:

I’m already addicted.

I can’t help it, I am a sucker for fake fiancé storylines and Hothead was a hot and sexy read for sure. From the start, you could tell that Drew and Evie were going to keep you on your toes and they did. The chemistry between them was hot, the banter was funny and let’s not forget about those extremely sexy and let’s face it panty wetting sec scenes.

Drew could be such an asshole but that is part of why I loved him as much as I did, he has a reason for the way he is and it’s understandable. Evie, she was a spit fire when needed to be but also it took me a bit to really think she was strong enough to pull of the farce of the fake fiancé.

Now I did have some issues with things really going unresolved. We find out about why Evie’s ex left her and instead of real closure it kinda drifted off to nowhere, same with why Drew is the way he is. Why not fight to clear his name, why not really stand up to her ex especially when things are revealed? I think if those had been done then I would have had a hard time finding any fault in the book.

However, even with these things I really still enjoyed Hothead.  I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future and think Hothead should be on your TBR lists for sure.

Author Bio

Stella Rhys is an author of contemporary romance and can't help but write it hot, steamy and borderline filthy (just kidding, it's just flat-out filthy). Writing aside, she lives for coffee, the Knicks, the Yankees and cooking recipes way out of her league. She was born and raised in New York and now lives there with her husband and charmingly entitled fur babies.
