When Jesse Gunn one of the biggest stars of World Class Wrestling voiced that million dollar question, yet again, I was stunned. After countless times of turning him down, I thought eventually he'd give up.
Unexpectedly thrown together for a work project, my mind went to places I’d never allowed. Dirty places where sweaty, naked bodies take center ring and names are rasped out in the heat of the moment.
Now, my time is spent wondering if a certain part of him could possibly live up to his last name, distracting me from my full time job - as his boss.
Can I continue to keep things professional or will I give in and tussle?
Every Monday and Tuesday night and at least one Sunday night
a month you will see me watching professional wrestling. If for some reason I am not home I record it,
it is my guilty pleasure and one that drives my husband insane but for me it’s
my other escape from reality besides reading.
When I started Tussle, I was
like yes finally a book that is about professional wrestling. I know there was another I have read but seriously,
this is one sports romance that we need more of.
Okay so anyways back to my review. Tussle
reminded me of one of my favorite storylines in wrestling, if you are a fan of
WWE you know the whole saga with the boss’s daughter and the bad boy. And is it coincidence that in the book the
brand is WCW and the last name Turner? Jacob
Chance must be a wrestling fan I would say.
Did I have issues with the book?
Yes there were a few instances of that’s not correct but the romance was
strong and I loved reading about Jesse and Lilah.
The chemistry was strong from the beginning but the way that
Lilah didn’t want to break the rules made the buildup of their relationship a
slow process. Jesse was sexy, he was
sweet, he was caring and he wanted Lilah and wasn’t afraid to keep trying. Lilah is the daughter of the owner and was
warned not to mix business with pleasure, but can she stay strong against Jesse’s
pursuits? I must say I got aggravated
more than once with Lilah but overall I liked her character very much.
I am hoping that Mr. Chance will write books for some of the
secondary characters we are introduced to, I would love to read about Ronnie,
Jesse’s sister and Wyatt one of his best friends. Issues that I had aside I really enjoyed this
one and am looking forward to more from Jacob Chance.
Jacob Chance grew up in New England. He’s a martial artist, a football fan, a practical joker and junk food lover.
