Through a bullet hole in a wall, I watch a man bleed to death.
Those responsible think their crime died with the victim, until I identify them.
What’s a girl to do when she’s being hunted by murderers
witness protection can’t even stop?
Run.
My only refuge is a place I vowed to never go again.
When it’s do or die, an eight-year-old heartache suddenly seems trivial.
Besides, he won’t be there anyway.
But he is.
Turns out my old pain feels brand new the second his eyes meet mine.
I can’t leave. I can’t stay.
This snowy town that’s supposed to be my shelter
suddenly exposes me more than before.
With no one else to lean on, Liam becomes my lifeline.
Now we’re both running for our lives,
trying not to get swept away.
I have been on edge waiting for Avalanche by Cambria Hebert, I love her books and this one just
called to me when I read the synopsis of the book. This review is going to be
hard for me to write, and no not in a bad way I promise but in a “I don’t want
to spoil this is any way” way. I do have to say that it did take me a bit to
get into the book, I think it was my mood, but once I continued on I was
hooked. Avalanche doesn’t have that
first book in a new series syndrome either, which even when it is an author I
adore I always worry about happening.
I am just going to keep this review very short and sweet
because you need to experience Avalanche
for yourself. The angst, the suspense, the wondering if a second chance will be
able to happen, all of those things and more are just a few of the reasons why
I enjoyed this one as much as I did. I am so excited to be starting this new
series, and if Avalanche is just the
start I think we are going to have a new series to love. Bellamy (can I just say that I LOVE that name)
and Liam, sigh Liam, will make you fall in love with them. I know I did! Add
this one to your TBR lists again.
