About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Throwback Thursday! Reap By Tillie Cole

Raised as a prototype for the Georgian Bratva's obedience drug, 221 fails to think, act, or live for himself; he's his master's perfectly-crafted killing puppet. Standing at six-foot-six, weighing two-hundred-and-fifty pounds, and unrivaled in to-the-death combat, 221 successfully secures business for the Georgian Mafiya Boss of NYC, who rules the dark world of the criminal underground. Until his enemies capture him.

Talia Tolstaia dreams to break from the heavy clutches of Bratva life. She dreams of another life--away from the stifling leash of her Russian Bratva Boss father and from the brutality of her work at The Dungeon, her criminal family's underground death-match enterprise. But when she stumbles upon her family's captive who is more monster than man, she starts to see the man underneath. A powerful, beautiful, damaged man whose heart calls to hers. But sacrifices must be made--blood for blood... life for life... souls for scarred souls...

When I started Reap I had just finished Raze two days prior.  I had to read a book for a blitz so I couldn’t jump right into Reap like I honestly way dying to do.  Before I had started it, I had sent my book bestie a text saying I was going to be starting it, she had already read it so she was waiting to see what I would think.

OMG I honestly cannot say if I loved Raze or Reap more.  Both of these books totally shredded my heart, Reap, oh man, his has been on my mind since I finished it days ago.  Four words.  Four words absolutely are embedded into my soul.  “you are...for me…”  Those four words not only bring hope, they are more powerful than any words of love I have ever read.  My book bestie feels the same way, that those four words are what shredded our hearts when we read Zaal, aka 221, aka Reap.

Like Raze, Reap deals with some very dark, heartbreaking and painful issues.  I am a huge fan of dark reads but these two, they have broken not only my heart but my soul.  I cried for Zaal, I cried for his pain, his loss, his unbelievably beautiful heart when it came to Talia, and the love that they share.  We also got to see more of Luka and Kisa as well, their healing and story isn’t over yet.

I am absolutely and totally in love with Tillie Cole.  I am anxiously waiting for the next book in this series, I have a feeling things are about to be totally rocked to their core.  I have tried to write this review for the past couple of days.  I still am having problems finding the right words to truly express how much I not only loved Reap, but how to describe perfectly how it got inside my heart and soul and shredded me.  While I may be having a problem finding the perfect words, just know that this is one of my favorite books not only for this year, but from all the books I have ever read.  Make sure you have read Raze before starting Reap but be prepared to cry, to wish that you could hurt those who hurt them, and to be moved in more ways than you will ever be able to imagine.
