When I put up a ROOMMATE WANTED poster, he was the last person on earth I thought would respond.
He was also the last person on earth I’d agree to let live with me…on purpose.
But, here we are—roommates. I’m certain we can coexist without it being awkward, and I’m determined to make it work. There will be no sexual tension building with each accidental touch, no flutters when he wears that stupid backward baseball cap, and definitely no flirting when we text back and forth.
Caleb Mills can’t be the guy for me. He’s my best friend’s ex-boyfriend.
And that would be wrong…right?
I Wanna Text You Up was just the book that this book whore needed. I have been reading a lot of dark and emotional books as of late and it has pulled me into the start of a low. I needed something funny, I needed a laugh out loud rom-com and that is what I got with I Wanna Text You Up. Reading is one way I balance my anxiety and depression and this book was just what the Dr. ordered.
Zoe needs a new roommate since hers is moving out to live her with her boyfriend. Her best friend who is also said moving out roommate helps Zoe put the flyer together and it all just goes from there. I can’t say what because I won’t spoil it but I think I laughed harder than I have in a while when she learns that Caleb is who wants to be her new roommate. Caleb is also her best friend’s ex-boyfriend, yeah can you say complication? However, here is the thing Zoe thinks Caleb is hot but won’t break girl code.
Caleb is sexy, he is sweet and he is having a bit of bad luck. His situation at times is well a bit secretive. I think I fell a bit in love with him myself while I was reading this. The more you learn the more you love him. He balances well with Zoe, and the attraction she feels isn’t only one sided either.
The banter between Caleb and Zoe is laugh out loud funny. The chemistry between them is strong and the tension you could cut with a knife at times. I enjoyed every single word I read. I love the texts, I loved that Zoe couldn’t cook for shit but could bake like a goddess. I loved Mittens, oh did I not mention him yet? Well he is the kitten that you can just picture in your head while reading.
I can easily recommend I Wanna Text You Up. This is a book that will have you smiling, snorting and laughing out loud from the very beginning until the very gold booty shorts end. Yes, I am aware that makes absolutely no sense but when you read the book I promise you will. Put I Wanna Text You Up on your TBR lists and prepare for the laughs.

By day I’m a freelance cover designer. By every other free moment, a writer. I’m a Missouri raised gal, but I currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband where I spend my days begging him for a cat. I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.
