About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Mafia Monday! Taken By Logan Chance

Things change. Sometimes not for the better.

Xavier is no longer the maid’s son. Or my best friend. Now he’s wealthy and powerful--the dark don, in charge of one of the largest corporations in the world.

I never expected the boy who always saved me to be the man who kidnaps me.

Some things never change.

Rhiannon is still as fiery and beautiful as the day I walked away. Now I'm back, ready to seek vengeance against the one man who wronged me. My rival. Her father.

If her father wants war, he'll get a war.

Kidnapping his daughter is the key to my ultimate revenge.

Standalone Mafia Romance

I think Taken is the first book I have ever read by Logan Chance but it will not be the last.  I have been on a mafia/mc/dark kick as of late and I really enjoyed Taken.  It is deemed a mafia romance but it isn’t as mafia forward as some other books I have read but you know what I enjoyed it very much.  I liked that Rhiannon and Xavier had a history, an underlying connection, best friends who were ripped apart.

Xavier can kidnap me any day.  He is sexy, he is secretive, he can be an asshole and he can be caring.  He kidnaps Rhiannon to get vengeance upon her father and when you find out why it is like an episode off a date time soap opera but you can’t help but continue reading.  And no it isn’t cheesy but it was not something I had even thought of.

Rhiannon wants out from under her father and she sure as hell doesn’t want to marry who her father wants her to marry.  When she is taken by Xavier she didn’t want to be around him, he is not the same person she knew and she won’t be under another’s control anymore but there is no denying the chemistry and attraction between these two.  I gotta give it to her she never stopped trying.

Overall Taken was an enjoyable read that sucked me in very quickly.  I will be reading more of Mr. Chance’s books in the future for sure.
