About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Throwback Thursday! Unexpected Fate By Harper Sloan

Have you ever felt like you were living your life for a future that was predetermined? Like there was some bigger picture you just prayed you would someday see clearly? That picture has been crystal clear to me since I was old enough to recognize it for just what it was.

Or I should say recognize him for who he was.

I’ve loved Cohen Cage since I was a small child. He’s been my everything for the last twenty-two years. I’ve loved him through every girlfriend he’s ever brought home. Through his college years and then mine. I’ve loved him through two deployments. And ever since the day I told him how I felt, he’s acted like I’m a stranger.

My name is Danielle Reid, and it’s time for me to get my man.

Our future is an unexpected fate, and no matter what our parents, siblings, and friends say…it’s going to be worth every second of the fight to make it happen.

**This book is a standalone, HEA, with mature themes and sexual situations**

If you haven’t read the Corps Security series first I highly suggest you do, not only so you get more of everyone’s histories but also because it is kick ass and has Cohen as a little boy. Believe me when I say you must see how he was when he was little to not only see how he has grown up but because he was so cute when he was younger. Okay now on to my review.

Oh man Cohen has grown up and he tops every alpha male that he grew up around ten times over. I just need a minute to mentally appreciate all that is Cohen Cage. *sigh Cohen* I loved him as a little boy with his cape and dick piercing comments but I also loved him because you just knew that this little boy who quickly wrapped readers around his little fingers would turn into a man who we all hope that our sons will turn into when they grow up. What I mean by that is a man who loves his family, protects his “girls” with everything he can, knows when he has something great in front of him and doesn’t take it for granted , an alpha who isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in and a man who loves his woman with his entire being. We knew that there would be something special between Cohen and Dani from previous books but as I am typing this I am having trouble finding the words that would perfectly describe how special that connection with them is. It is just beautiful, and it is an unexpected fate.

Just be warned that your heart will melt, you will cry at times, and you will want a Cohen of your own when you finish Unexpected Fate. I laughed so hard at times, I would cry at others but the one consistent is that I could not put this book down, luckily my husband was home the day I read it because nothing but Cohen and Dani existed for me. I was completely enthralled. I loved how we got to see everyone from Corps Security and I will warn you not to be drinking when you read the prologue because Axel will have you laughing so hard that you can’t breathe. Harper Sloan, you have made me fall totally and completely in love with all that is Cohen Cage and I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
