They call me an outcast like it's a bad thing.
An asshole byproduct of a shitty upbringing. I don't care about anything except myself and my little sister.
I will always protect what’s mine.
With one year left on my hockey contract I'm keeping my head down and my eyes on the goal.
A collision, with her, changes my entire existence.
Never fall in love with a sports star. That's what my stepfather always said. He told me athletes are complicated and moody—that the higher their paycheck, the lower their morals.
As public relations for the New York Stingers I know exactly what he means, but I can’t seem to say no to a friendship with one beautiful, damaged man.
What started out as hate turned into something else.
We tried to stay away, to keep our distance, but the pull was too strong.
Something forbidden turned into something so irresistible.
OMG Something So Irresistible was AMAZING! It was Something So Right and Something So Perfect combined and multiplied by a million. I devoured this book. I had been waiting on it ever since we got that mean sneaky teaser of what was about to come when we finished Something So Perfect. I absolutely fell in love with Max and from the Prologue, I knew I was in for an emotional, angst filled ride and it was but it was so much more than that. What it was to put it is simply was irresistible.
It is well known that I am a huge hockey fan and it is also well known that when I first read Something So Right by Ms. Madison that I knew she was going to be one that will be an automatic read for this book whore and she was. She not only knows hockey, she writes it well and knows that real hockey fan will know what certain references or who a hockey player is just by their name because they were one of the greatest players to ever play the game. To some those things may not matter but real fans of the sport appreciate that she stays true to the game and what hockey means to us.
Max and Allison have a love/hate relationship at the beginning and for very good reasoning. Here is the thing people make mistakes and what Max did could have been life damaging but there is more to the story than what we know. Max is so much more than I ever thought he would be. I loved him, I loved his heart, I loved how he protects those he loves and I loved how he knew he had made mistakes but I hated how he thought people wouldn’t ever get to know the real him. Allison was exactly who Max needed in his life. Allison is sassy, she is tough and she doesn’t like Max at all but that attraction is there, that is undeniable and irresistible and that builds. Slowly they begin to not only go from hate to like but to so much more. These two balanced each other out beautifully and reading their story made me wish I was in the book watching it play out all before my eyes. Now normally I was try to lay claim to one of Ms. Madison’s characters by licking them and stating they are mine but this time Max is truly 100% Allison’s and for that reason I shall not lay claim to one of the sexiest, heart breaking at times, panty melting, intense hockey players I have ever read.
I already want more from this series and I know waiting is going to be agonizing for this book whore. Natasha Madison once again has shown to this book whore why I fell in love with her writing when I read her very first book. If you haven’t read Something So Right or Something So Perfect grab them, devour them and then come read Something So Irresistible and fall in love with Max I promise you will be unable to resist him. 5 stars is not enough to rate this book if I could rate it 20 stars it would still not be enough.
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
