He’s arrogant.
Loud.
Rude.
And to make matters worse, he looks good doing it—too good.
Joey DeLuca should have been nothing but a maddening memory, a blip on
my radar during my three month sabbatical in my small hometown while I get back
on my feet.
My time back home was supposed to be simple. Easy. Fast.
But he’s everywhere I go, invading my thoughts, and stealing my
attention.
Is it possible to hate the same person I can’t get enough of?
Is there really an exception to every rule?
As I sit down to type this review of Exception I am struggling to put into words how I felt about this
book. This is my first book by this
author and I am not sure if her writing style and me mesh. I liked Exception
but I wasn’t drawn into the story like I had hoped that I would be. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t an instance of
me not liking it but more of me being able to connect with it if that makes
sense. Joey and Kennedy are likeable
characters and the plot was one I usually enjoy so I am thinking this was a
case of it’s me not the book the more I think about it. I want to read another by this author to see
if I would like a different book of hers.
I think most people will enjoy this one so as always read it for
yourself and find out for yourself if you like it or not.
