Seoafin “Finnie” Wilde was taught by her parents that every breath was a treasure and to seek every adventure she could find. And she learns this lesson the hard way when they perish in a plane crash. But she never forgets and when she discovers there is a parallel universe where every person has a twin, she finds a witch who can send her there so she can have the adventure of a lifetime.
But upon arrival in the Winter Wonderland of Lunwyn, she realizes she’s been played by her twin and finds herself walking down the aisle to be wed to The Drakkar.
Thrown into inauspicious circumstances, with years of practice, Finnie bests the challenges and digs into her adventure. But as Frey Drakkar discovers the woman who is his new wife is not Princess Sjofn, a woman he dislikes but instead, his Finnie, a free-spirit with a thirst for venture just like him, without her knowledge he orders his new bride bound to his frozen world, everlasting.
But at the same time Frey plunges Finnie into a web of political intrigue that includes assassination plots, poison, magic, mystery and… dragons.
There are some books that I can pick up and read again and again and still feel like I am discovering it for the first time. Wildest Dreams is one of those types of books. I love Kristen Ashley books and I love the magic and fantasy that this book brings. There is adventure, there is drama, there is love and there is so much more. Even if you aren’t a huge fantasy fan this one really could change your mind, the way the setting is described you can almost close your eyes and picture it all.
Finny and Frey are characters that have depth to them. You fall in love with them a little more with each page. The reason behind Finny being in that world is heartbreaking and I wish that this was possible in real life because there are so many people I wish I had more time with. Frey at first comes off as this mean jerky kind of guy but pretty quickly you can’t help but love him. There is one part that I may or may not have wanted to beat him for being a total idiot, and I feel like that every time I read it. The chemistry, love and emotions these two share will keep you glued to your kindle or book from the beginning until the end.
This series really is magical and Wildest Dreams is a great start. If you are looking for a romance with a fantasy feel with magic and just overall feel of romance and adventure then this is one to have on your TBR lists!
