This review previously posted on My Secret Romance Book Reviews and I have permission to post on here.
He always puts duty first...she's a free spirit with an unshakable belief in Fate.
He loves routine and order...she brings chaos and creativity wherever she goes.
They're going to balance each other perfectly--or drive each other completely, utterly insane...
On a wild pre-deployment celebration in Las Vegas, Captain Timothy O'Shay encounters free-spirited beauty Skye McDermott, and for once lets down his guard. Now his life is about to take off in directions he never could have imagined...
Tim is your stick up the ass, stuffy military man and Skye is the care free, leave your stuff every where hippie type and their relationship works. They balance each other out and make the other better. You would honestly think that they would want nothing to do with each other, but that is not the case with these two. They are not only attracted to each other big time sexually, they actually work on making their marriage work. While their marriage definitely did not start off in a conventional way, they made it work. Tim realizes that sometimes you need not to be so anal all the time and that is because of Skye. Skye really wants this marriage to work and even tries to change to make Tim happy, but he loves her for her not who she is trying to be.
This does show the sometime unfortunate side of military life. I am not talking about the deployments and last minute changes. I am talking about the snotty stuck up, I think I am too good for you military wives that give the good ones a bad name. I so wanted to slap a bitch when I read about Tim’s superior’s wife and how she acted. I loved when Skye finally said something to her. I wanted to yell out You Go Girl!!
If you believe in fate or soul mates, then you will love this book. If you love military romances, you will love this book. If you love a good romance, you will love this book. Have you gotten the hint yet, go get this book, you will love it! I am wishing it was January so I can get my hands on book 2 right now.
