So I can’t believe that I have never reviewed Coyote’s Mate by Lora Leigh before
now. I discovered the Breed series
shortly after I renewed my love for reading and even drove my husband insane on
vacation when I not only made him find a book store but had him take me back
more than once to get the next book because I was hooked. I was feeling a little burnt out and well
let’s just say overwhelmed with all the books I had deadlines for but just
wasn’t feeling. So I grabbed my kindle
and pulled up one of my favorite books of this series, Coyote’s Mate and fell in love with not only the story of Del Ray
and Anya all over again but reminded myself why I loved this series as much as
I did and still do. The feeling of a
mate just for you, one that science didn’t deem as the right match, but
something else, something of a higher power if you wish to go that route.
The push and pull between Del Ray and Anya adds fuel to the
mating heat, so much so that it is about to be combustible. These two should have their pictures next to
the definition of stubborn in the dictionary.
Even having read this book probably for the 10th time, I
still felt the same emotions that I felt when I originally read it and as
always I found little bits and pieces that I missed during previous reads. Del
Ray is the dominant sexy alpha that he is portrayed to be, I love that about
him, even when he does stupid shit to piss Anya off, he still has that presence
about him. Anya is feisty, smart assed
and full of fire and the absolute perfect mate for Del Ray, he needed a strong
woman to put up with some of his less than favorable antics.
I love the way this series still holds a secure part of my
heart. It is different than most
paranormal romances and I like the uniqueness. This series really should be read in order to
get the best understanding and experience as well as familiarizing yourself to
all the characters that tend to make appearances in other books.
