Colton and Gia are from Until June
Colton Allyster is relieved to be back home. After a year of rehabilitation, losing his career as a Marine along with his fiancé, he’s had to learn quickly what’s really important. Colton grew up wanting to serve his country. Managing his parents’ biker bar was never part of his plan, but after meeting Gia Caro, he’s beginning to think that’s exactly where he’s meant to be.
Ever since Gia Caro arrived in the small, sleepy town of Ruby Falls, Tennessee, her life has spiraled out of control. Between losing her grandmother a little more each day to dementia, and her hot boss’s constant attention, her once quiet existence isn’t so quiet anymore.
After weeks of sidestepping Colton, things get out of hand, and before Gia knows what’s happening, she’s spending her nights in his bed and her mornings in his kitchen. And as he cleans out drawers and makes room in his closet, she starts to wonder if she’s falling too fast.
Falling Fast reminded me of old school Aurora Rose Reynolds, like she went back to basics and just channeled that recipe that we have all loved in her first books. That instant attraction and KNOWING that the person in front of them is the ONE for them I can’t say it is the BOOM but in a way it is because it hits you like that. There was the perfect combination of angst, drama, emotional, sexy, and dominant but not over bearing male and the female who you just can’t help but have a place in your heart for. I was literally hooked from the first couple pages.
Colton is to put it simply sexy and SWOONY! He has that perfect combination that makes my ovaries explode with just a few words! I loved how he was with Gia, he wanted to take care of her when she needed it and although there was something that happened that almost made me want to take a beer bottle and smash him in the head for, you could tell that he didn’t do it intentionally. He was the perfect choice for Gia, she needed someone like him in her life after some of the things she was dealt.
Gia, my heart broke for the poor girl. I wish she would have stood up for herself more at times, but I could see how the way she was raised is the reason she didn’t, the one person who always was her safe happy place, she thought was dead and when she finds out the truth, it was almost in a way worse because of the circumstances even if that time meant so much to Gia.
While there is a bit of drama in the book it didn’t overshadow Colton and Gia’s relationship and it brought them closer together even though it also caused Gia pain. As I stated before this book had the perfect balance of all things which made it not only a book I didn’t want to put down but one I really can’t wait to read again. Falling Fast reminded me why I love the books Aurora Rose Reynolds writes so much because it always leave me with a smile on my face at the very end.
