NOW IN MASS MARKET PAPERBACK!
She's no Sleeping Beauty. And he's definitely no prince . . .
Margot McCleery could have lived her whole life without seeing Bentley Wellington again-her ex-best friend and the poster boy for Hot, Rich Man-Whores everywhere. But Margot's whiskey-augmented grandmother "buys" Bentley at a charity bachelor auction, and now suddenly he's at her door. Impossibly charming. Impossibly sexy. And still a complete and utter jackass.
Bentley's just been coerced by his grandfather to spend the next thirty days charming and romancing the reclusive red-haired beauty who hates him. The woman he abandoned when she needed him the most. Bentley knows just as much about romance as he knows about love-nothing. But the more time he spends with Margot, the more he realizes that "just friends" will never be enough. Now all he has to do is convince her to trust him with her heart . . .
There is something about the way Rachel Van Dyken writes her
books that has this book whore returning for more. There hasn’t been a series of hers that I
haven’t loved and The Playboy Bachelor is the next installment in The Bachelors
Of Arizona series and I think I may have loved Bentley even more than I did
Brock and I LOVED him so that is saying a lot.
I tend to love a cocky sometimes huge asshole hero, watching them fall,
watching them fix the mistakes of their past, seeing what happened to turn them
the way they did, just makes me love their character more. Trust me the manwhore Bentley is has all of
those traits and more.
My heart broke for Margot, for the way she shut herself
away, for the way she felt as less of a woman because of what happened to her. Underneath all that surly, mean spirited at
times is a woman who lost so much in one single sweep that you can understood
where that bitterness came from but at the same time wished you could take it
all away. Margot and Bentley used to be
best friends, what tears them apart had tears in my eyes, my heart breaking and
my stomach in knots. Both of them
suffered and both dealt with it in their own self destructive ways.
These two together are perfect, they balance the other out,
they have chemistry and they have history.
Reading about everything had me enthralled; I couldn’t and didn’t put
the book down until I was finished. This
is easily a book I can see reading again and again. I am looking forward to the
next book; I wish I was reading it right now because I have a feeling that it
is going to be angst filled and emotional.
The Playboy Bachelor will wish that you could bid on your very own
Bentley and is a book that I can easily say needs to be on your TBR lists
