I was her downfall.
We were a match made in hell.
But when we were together, that hell was pure heaven.
The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she would pay the price for my sins. I wasn’t much older than she was, but old enough to know better. Old enough to know she would be good for me and I was bad for her. But I pursued her anyway. Back then I had hope that maybe she could change my future.
Maybe together we could change our fate . . .
More than one I almost sat Savage down because I just wasn’t liking it but I kept reading because while I may have not liked it at first I was becoming intrigued and wanted to find out what secrets Alexander aka King had. So I kept on and finished Savage. I am glad I did because overall I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next book.
Sometimes all it takes is a character to ruin or bring down a book that had the potential to be amazing and for me at least, Sarah Jane was that kind of character. She got on my nerves, she had no backbone and she was so judgmental at times that it took away any connection I could have had with her. I am hoping that in the next book she is that strong character that needs to be at King’s side. She can be his Queen but only if she is not weak.
I understood why King was doing what he was and I supported it. Why wouldn’t he want to know the truth and get the answers he so desperately needed. Once we got to have little hints here and there about what it is he could be doing I was desperately trying to solve the mystery. Now he could be an asshole at times and I wanted to beat him with a bat for a couple of things but overall I liked the mysterious and edgy side to his character.
Savage is the first book in this duet and while it started off rocky for this book whore I really am wanting to read the next book. Savage has mystery and suspense and I enjoy that in my books. I think most will enjoy Savage who read it.
