Jilted is the
second book in the Love Hurts series
and while I liked it I just didn’t like it as much as the previous book. Now before you start thinking that I didn’t
like it, I did, there was just something that was missing that kept me from
loving it. I don’t know if some parts
were just too slow paced for me or if at times the connection felt forced but
while these were some of the issues I had I enjoyed it.
I hate when people judge others by what they think they know
about them, and Eden suffers from just that when she returns to the small town
she used to call home. Add into the mix
her ex, Cooper, is at times a cocky asshole and only adds to her discomfort. While eventually I started to like Cooper it
took a while to warm up to him.
While Jilted may
not be my favorite book by Sawyer Bennett it is one that I think most people
would enjoy.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.
Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active toddler, as well as full-time servant to two adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or a combination of the two.
