Going back to work was supposed to be a painless transition, but when my new boss turns out to be an arrogant, cocky jerk, he quickly turns my professional life into a world of torture. Okay, fine, calling him an asshat before knowing he was my boss wasn't my finest moment. Hating him should be easy. I just never counted on him being so gorgeous or charming when he's not annoying me.
I expected my new assistant to be professional and punctual, but all I'm getting are dirty looks and rude comments. I should fire the little hellion, but instead all I can think about is bending her over my desk and breaking every rule I've ever made for myself.
One look. One touch. One night. If we break the rules, our lives will never be the same again.
Good thing rules were made to be broken. And besides, it feels so good to Tempt the Boss.
I have been waiting to type this review because I had to read Tempt The Boss over again, not because I had to, but because I wanted to. If I could rate this book more than 5 stars I would because this is one of the funniest books I have read in a while. Do not eat or drink anything while reading Tempt The Boss, if you do one of the following situations may or may not have happened to me and I wouldn’t want you to suffer the same fate. You will a) choke on your food because the second you swallow (minds out of the gutters people) you will read something that will have if go down the wrong pipe, b) same scenario as a but with your drink, or c) you will spit your drink out all over your reading device and wherever you may be sitting because this one is seriously hilarious people. I can say that c happened more than once.
Tempt The Boss is a mix of an enemies to lovers and boss/employee romance and it was done perfectly. Lauren and Austin have amazing chemistry sometimes I worried for their safety because it was going to explode and explode it did. I laughed my ass off more than once, tears flowing down my face and unable to breathe at the antics Lauren would pull on Austin, mind you he deserved it, but a couple I wish I could do in real life to certain people. Anyways thoughts of personal revenge aside, Austin wasn’t an innocent angel by any means and what he does for her party was epic. I so need to do that to a few friends who would appreciate the humor as well. Lauren and Austin are characters you don’t like, you love them. They have depth, come across as someone who might know in your real life and they will keep a smile on your face the entire time. The sexual chemistry was hot as hell and I have claimed Austin, once again I licked him so he is mine.
Tempt The Boss is already one of my top reads for 2017. I knew the first time that I read Ms. Madison’s first book that she was going to be the author to watch out for, I told you that then and now I am telling you one more that she keeps improving and is an author that is going to take this book world over by storm and I am happy to be able to say that Tempt The Boss is a MUST read, one that I LOVED, and one that you HAVE to have on your TBR lists NOW! Congrats Ms. Madison on another 5 star book!
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
