About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Dishonorable By Natasha Knight

I knew little of Raphael Amado’s history with my family, but when he turned up on our doorstep demanding restitution, my grandfather quickly conceded. That restitution? Me.

Six months later, on my eighteenth birthday, Raphael came for me. He stole me from my home, taking me to his Tuscan estate, where from the crumbling chapel to the burnt-down vineyard, to the cellar that haunted him, the past stalked him like a shadow. It waited for him, hid behind corners for him and trapped him at every turn.

As much as Raphael’s cruelty terrified me, his darkness seduced me. But in the end, it was his tenderness that devastated me.

Sofia came to me like an offering. Like a virgin to be sacrificed at the altar. But truth was, her grandfather betrayed her. I guess we had that in common. He’d screwed me too.

I knew hate. I'd vowed vengeance. This was never supposed to be about anything else. But in the end, her innocence broke me. The very thing I would destroy, destroyed me.

I am sitting here trying to find the right words to use in this review for Dishonorable.  I don’t want to give spoilers away and I don’t want to go into a lot of detail because I have a feeling that something even minor might give away any of the twists and turns Dishonorable has.  Yep you read that right this one has twists that you may not see coming and turns that have you gripping your reading device because you need to know what in the hell is going to happen next.  Is this one dark?  Yes it is, is it as dark as some others I have read?  No it isn’t but don’t let that fool you.  This one at times will have you wanting to beat the living hell out of Raphael and don’t think Sophia is all innocent from that beating because I wanted to shake her more than once and yell stop being so damn naive.

Dishonorable took me a bit to read, not because I wasn’t into it but because the pacing at times is slow but steady and there is a lot to digest at times.  There are some things left unresolved and questions left unanswered so I am hoping that if there is another book, which I hope that there will be for numerous reasons (read the book and you will probably be able to easily guess what they are) but also because I feel there is a lot more left to be told, maybe not by Sophia and Raphael but other characters as well.

I really liked Dishonorable and if you are a fan of a darker edged romance than I think this is one that you will like for sure.
