In Paradise, there is no television. No fast food. Just long hours of farm work and prayer on a dusty Wyoming ranch, and nights in a crowded bunkhouse. The boys of the Compound are kept far from the sinners’ world.
But Joshua doesn’t need temptation to sin. His whole life, he’s wanted his best friend, Caleb. By day they work side by side. Only when Josh closes his eyes at night can they be together the way he craves.
It can never be. And his survival depends on keeping his terrible desires secret.
Caleb has always protected Josh against the worst of the bullying at the Compound. But he has secrets of his own, and a plan to get away — until it all backfires.
Josh finds himself homeless in a world that doesn’t want him. Can Caleb find him in time? And will they find a place of safety, where he can admit to Josh how he really feels?
Warning: Contains a hot male/male romance, copious instances of taking the Lord's name in vain, and love against the kitchen counter. This book was previously released under the title: In Front of God & Everyone.
Goodbye Paradise
ended up being more than I thought it would ever be and it was a beautiful and at
times a bit painful tale of overcoming how you were raised and becoming the
person you were meant to be. Goodbye Paradise was emotional,
heartbreaking at times, sexy, and overall one of the best books I have read in
this genre. M/M romance is something
that not everyone enjoys but for me I have always believed love is love and
this book just pounds that thought home.
Acceptance is nice but to be able to be true to who you are and who you
love is what is most important.
Josh and Caleb have an undeniable connection; they have been
best friends since they were little.
Josh was always bullied in the compound, never quite felt like he was
good enough, but what he didn’t realize that he was so much more than those
others let him believe he was. Caleb
always watched out for Josh, helped him as best as he could but there are more
than friendly feelings behind his actions, even if Josh doesn’t see if for
himself. Caleb was amazingly sweet and
strong and even when he may do something stupid you know he has a good
heart. I loved these two together, they
were the definition of meant to be together, they have already gone through
hell and deserve their heaven.
Sarina Bowen you wrote a beautiful and emotional book about
love, friendship, and being true to who you are. I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait
to read the next one. Goodbye Paradise is a must read for any
M/M romance lover or to be honest any lover of a good romance because love is
love and this story is filled with it.
