While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Day Blitz! Anything You Can Do by R.S. Grey

Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.

It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.

The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.

I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.

The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.

Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.

I liked Lucas. He was funny, loving, attractive and a loyal friend, even when he maybe shouldn't have been as it wasn't appreciated.

Not so much about Daisy. She was immature and I wanted to slap her more than once in the book, so wanting her to get her happily ever after was a little difficult in a couple of places.

This was an enemies to lovers story and you pretty clearly see that the animosity is from her side and not really from his. There is a chemistry and an attraction between the 2 of them, and she is the last to know. They show it by fighting with one another, in creative and diabolical ways.

The book was well written and the characters were consistent, even though I didn't really like her.

My issue was the antics were high school. And these 2 are doctors. Not med students, or college students, but doctors going into private practice, and not getting along and being professional could cost them their practice. And, that is where it stopped working well for me, as I just didn't believe 2 people would act as they did, with this much to lose.

The chemistry and the attraction between them was real, it was hot, and it was enjoyable.

I recommend this book, but with a couple of reservations.

I came in to this book expecting some laughs, some romance and hopefully a happy ever after. I'd say the book delivered for the most part but it fell a little flat in some spots for me.

I wasn't a huge fan of Daisy-it took me forever to warm up to her. I spent most of the book trying not to groan out loud at how she was behaving. She's a doctor but her antics went right back to junior high level when dealing with Lucas initially. While there was a bit of humor in some of the antics at first, I wound up wishing she'd grow up a little quicker.

Lucas made me smile. He pushed Daisy, but not in a way that she was used to. I appreciated that; he wasn't quite what she expected him to be and she didn't quite know how to handle him-but he definitely knew how to handle her. There were two parts where I literally grinned and sighed over Lucas' actions, but I'll let you find those spots for yourself.

Overall, the book was ok. Daisy, to me, grows up and redeems herself in a way that had me smiling and kind of swooning. Yep, swooning over the heroine's actions-not my usual thing, but definitely called for in this book. This was a quick read and if you can get past some of the juvenile pranks I think you'll enjoy it.

About the Author:

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
