It’s what I do.
It’s what I live for.
I’m no longer the Preston Hale everyone knew. I left that life and the people in it a long time ago the second I made my first kill. I wasn’t going to give in, but when I heard the screams there was no going back.
It triggered the pain, the need.
I knew what I had to do, and I did it well. But I never expected for Emma Turner – the only link to my past – to come back into my life.
She triggers a different emotion inside me, something I hadn’t ever felt.
It’s not a want to kill . . . but a need to CLAIM.
I was really curious about Triggered when I first read the blurb for the book. I had a feeling this was goingto be one that once you were into the story it would be one that you wouldn't be able to put it down, and that is exactly what happened.
It took me a bit I must admit to really get into Triggered and Emma was rubbing me the wrong way at first but then slowly I was drawn more and more in and Emma began to be a character that I liked. Preston you could tell there was so much more behind his story than what we are first given. Once the story unfolds you have a whole new understanding to what causes him to kill and ill be the first in line to hand him more ammo when he needs it.
This is the first book in the series and I am already wanting the next! If you are a fan of suspense, action, some angst and alpha males then this is a book and a series I think you will love for sure.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.

Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols. Dover has written countless novels, including her Forever Fae series, the Second Chances series, the Gloves Off series, the Armed & Dangerous series, the Royal Shifters series, and her standalone novel Love, Lies, and Deception.
