It’s the start of nothing good. I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number. And he replied. Him: Show me a picture. Him: Tell me your name. Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger? It’s the start of everything right. I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong. And she made me laugh again. Her: You’re probably a creeper. Her: Possibly a stalker. Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine? Him: Take a chance with me. Her: This is crazy. Him: I need to see you. Her: What are we doing? Him: We’re about to find out. Her: PHOTO ATTACHED Him: PHOTO ATTACHED
So here is the thing. Text 2 Lovers should have been one of my favorite reads of 2017 so far but unfortunately after a strong start it started to go downhill rather fast. I loved the whole premise of the book, making a connection with someone on accident and in a way that usually would never have happened.
Dani she really was a pushover and I think I had such an issue with her because she even allows her best friend to take over and just in a sense controls her. Dani needed to learn how to stand up for herself, and having a best friend at your back to help do just that is always a good thing until that best friend just gets to be controlling in a sense. I am well aware that Andi, the best friend, is a secondary character but I just hated her, she is one reason why I really did not enjoy this book as much as I had hoped.
Ram has issues, I could understand why at times he didn’t tell Dani some things and none of those things were essentially bad, well one sorta was but not really at the same time. Ram loves hard and deep and he loved Dani but at the same time I wanted to tell him to grow a set of balls and say if you really want your woman go fucking fight for her then damn it.
Text 2 Lovers was at times very funny and also very sexy but I just am on the fence about how I feel about it overall. What I will say is this, make your own opinion about the book, you may find that you enjoyed it more than I did.
