About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Release Blitz! Safe Bet By Monica Murphy

Sydney Walker’s new job is perfect. As the live-in nanny to the most famous quarterback in the NFL and his beautiful wife, she couldn’t have it any better. Their kids are adorable. Her bosses are more than generous. Plus, there are hot football players at the house all the time. Life can’t get much better than this.

Until her life turns into an absolute nightmare. The media is abuzz with rumors that she and her boss Drew Callahan are having a torrid affair. Everyone knows the truth—except the public. So Drew’s wife Fable comes up with the perfect idea.

She creates a fake relationship between Sydney and one of the rookie players on Drew’s team. Wade Knox is forever indebted to Drew and Fable and readily agrees to the set up. Pretending to be in a romantic relationship with the hot nanny for a week—how hard can it be?

Crazy how it only takes one week for two people to fall head over heels in love…

(This mash-up new adult romance features characters from both the One Week Girlfriend series and The Rules series.)

I love when we finally get a book about a side character in a previous series that deserved to get their HEA.  For me this person is Wade.  You may know him from One Week Girlfriend series as Owen’s best friend.  I had hoped for Wade’s story and we finally get it in Safe Bet!  We also get more of Drew, Fable, Owen and Chelsea which made this book whore very happy because I have missed these characters very much.

Wade and Sydney are actually really cute together, even when it is under the fake relationship (hmmm I wonder who gave them that idea?) of trying to get the press from saying Drew and Sydney are in a relationship together, which obviously they are not.  Naughty Nanny or not rumors are putting strain on everyone involved.  I wish this one had been a little bit longer just to get more of their relationship as well as closing up an issue or two that wasn’t resolved, but mostly because I wanted more.  I have missed these characters as I stated before and I know I could continue reading on if more books come out.

Safe Bet was funny, sexy, a little angsty but not much, but most importantly it was a book that this book whore plans on reading again and again because I really loved it.
