Release Blitz! Three Sweet Nothings By Nikki Sloane

Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh.

I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us.

This time, I’ll control the heat between us and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames.

I was so excited to see this book from Nikki Sloane. It follows her Blindfold club series, but can 100% be read as a standalone.

Three Sweet Nothings tells the story of Kyle and Ruby. At its heart this is a second chance romance, with a side of dom/sub play. This book has the steam I expect from Nikki Sloane and the vulnerability she is known to develop in her characters.

Kyle. Oh Kyle. An attorney who comes back to work at his family’s law firm even though he hates being around his parents, we get Kyle’s internal struggles right away. When he sees Ruby again for the first time in years? Holy hotness. Watching him navigate his way through a relationship and open himself up to her again made me swoon.

Ruby was a little bit of a different heroine than I expected, but I loved her. I loved her sharp wit, her toughness and the way she gave herself over to Kyle. Seeing her grow in their new relationship was incredibly satisfying.

The sex in this book was off the charts for me. It wasn’t the only thing that drew me to the book, but I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. We also get glimpses of some previous characters-but again, you don’t need to read the others in this series in order to appreciate this book-it was just a bonus for me.

If you are looking for a quick, sexy read with some dom/sub play, this book will definitely suit your needs. I recommend it.

This is my first book of the Blindfold Club series, but not my first Nikki Sloane. And I really enjoyed it. It is enough of a standalone that I was able to follow along with no issues.

Ruby and Kyle were an interesting second chance romance, as the resentment was still very much alive and was something that needed to be resolved, even though the passion of their former relationship was still present.

The writing was strong, it was well paced. There were appearances of characters in the other books, but they were integrated into the story in a way that they did not distract from Kyle and Ruby. I am sure for people who have read the other books in the series, it was fun to revisit the characters, I know I always enjoy this, but it wasn't distracting.

I liked the juxtaposition of the romance of Ruby and Kyle with the divorce that was also happening with Kyle representing the wife. It showed a relationship in 2 points...the one developing and the one dissolving. The parallels between the 2 were interesting and thought provoking.

The sex was hot...which is always fine. The connection with Ruby and Kyle was instant and powerful.

I recommend this book.

Well it appears that this book whore needs to go back and read the previous books in this series, don’t worry it can be read as a stand alone but you know me and my whorish way I need more books and if the other books were as good as this one, well I must read them.  If you are a fan of BDSM like I am (really was there ANY surprise there?) then this is one you need to read.  The pacing is fast but well developed, the characters have depth as well as personalities that you like, there is some angst, some hotness and there is a second chance at love which you know I can’t resist.  Three Sweet Nothings is one I plan to read again after I read the previous books, because what can I say, this book whore really liked it.
