Release Blitz! Swing By Adriana Locke

Screw him and his perfect stats.
Sinful smirk.
Delicious body.
Lincoln Landry probably even has game-winning stamina.

I’d like to screw her and her perfect ass.
Dangerous curves.
Sweet smile.
Danielle Ashley probably even has a game-changing personality.

There’s no denying the chemistry between them. It’s so fiery, it’s undeniable. They partake in it. Enjoy it.
They really enjoy it.
Attraction is not a problem. Nor is their banter, relationship status, or habits. That’s all fine. Perfect, actually.
The problem is as tangled up as their sheets.

A STANDALONE romantic comedy from USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke.

Swing is the second in the Landry family books by Adriana Locke. I enjoyed the first book and looked forward to this one but it can be read as a standalone as well.

This is the story of Lincoln, a professional baseball player who is sidelined with an injury. He’s hot and he knows it, perfectly content with his playboy type status until he meets Danielle. It’s lust at first sight for these two. It’s incredibly satisfying watching Lincoln grow as he falls for Dani. He definitely had his share of swoonworthy moments-and I enjoyed them all.

Dani was a bit of a tough nut to crack. I didn’t initially connect with her as she had a slew of issues to work through, but eventually I did. Once I got where she was coming from I was on team Dani for sure. She’s a strong, yet secluded, heroine and getting to see what made her tick took a while but was worth it in the end.

I did like the story between the characters. There were parts that tugged on my heart and sexy times that added to the swooniness of Lincoln. There were some areas that seemed to take a bit longer to resolve than I would have liked, but overall I enjoyed it. I will definitely read this author again.

It appears that I am in the minority with Swing.  I went in hoping it would be a home run when in reality, for me at least, it was a strike out.  I tried, I really did to connect or find anything about Danielle that I could find likable or even tolerable but I didn’t.  She was self-centered, bitchy, and immature.  I hate when characters make others pay for the sins of others.  Time and time again Lincoln proved that he was nothing like Danielle’s parents but instead of actually opening up her eyes and seeing that all she did was push him away and I was sick of her attitude.  Lincoln is who had me wanting to continue to read.  He may have been the playboy baseball player in the past but his views on everything are changing.  He loves baseball, it is his life, but he is more than just a baseball player.  He deserved someone so much better than Danielle, and while the chemistry between them was hot, along with the sex, I just didn’t like her attitude when it came to his career.

I can’t say to read or not read Swing.  It very well could be a case of me just not connecting at all and being so aggravated by the heroine that I couldn’t see anything good about her by the end.  Make your own decision and form your own opinion but sadly for this book whore Swing was a swing and a miss and one I was disappointed in.

The bell chimes as the front door closes behind me. I’m to my car in record speed. I need space. I need air. I need to think. When my phone buzzes right before I pull out of the parking lot, I know it’s Pepper and she’s not going to quit until I give her something to occupy her mind.

“Fine!” I nearly shout into the phone. “His cock is about ten inches, if I’m guessing, and he fucked me in about every position I could explain. My favorite, though, was the corkscrew. Not sure what that is? Google it.”

My finger goes to swipe off the call when I see the name on the screen and drop the phone. “Shit!” I cry, digging through the items on my passenger’s side floorboard until I find the glowing device.

My heart is pounding as I try to decide whether to end the call or talk to Lincoln. Mortified, I bring it to my ear and squeeze my eyes shut. He’s silent.

Maybe he didn’t hear. Please, God, don’t let him have heard that.

“Hello?” I eke out.

“I’d say ten inches is fair and I’ve made a note about the corkscrew. Glad I called,” he chuckles.
