The anticipated conclusion of The Checkmate Duet from a secret duo of bestselling authors! Checkmate: This is War is an enemies to lovers romance that will have you crying with laughter one moment and screaming in frustration the next... but you'll be begging to play the game with The King.
Game on.

Viola Fisher is the epitome of perfection.
She despises my one-night stands and mocks my less-than-classy habits.
She’s smart, beautiful, and too good to be true.
And I want her.
If she were anyone else, I’d have made my move years ago, but considering she’s my best friend’s little sister, she’s always been off-limits. Not to mention how much she loathes my very existence.
Hating me is her religion, but needing her is mine. Her sexy curves and filthy smart mouth make me want her even more, and I’m more determined than ever to change her mind.
I’ll prove I’m done playing games.
But until then, we’ll continue to play by her rules.
Viola Fisher may have won the battle, but the war isn’t over yet.
Checkmate, princess.

**This is Love is book in the Checkmate Duet. You must read This is War first.**
So after the way that Checkmate
This Is War ended I was salivating needing Checkmate This Is Love immediately.
It picks up where we are left off with that kindle breaking cliffhanger
that about had me losing my mind. So
with all of that build up I was like oh Checkmate
This Is Love is going to be so good, and it was good but I just didn’t love
it.
I had issues with
Viola in the first book but I had started to like her at the end but in this
one, how can I explain it. You know that
sound when you scrape nails on a chalkboard, that annoying sound that you can’t
stand? Well that is how she ended up
being for me in this one. I went in
having her back but ended up really just thinking she was immature, petty and
selfish.
We won’t even talk about Mia, cause that bitch deserves well
to put it nicely a front kick in the vagina for all of her games and shit.
So we shall move on
to Travis, oh how I love Travis I was so team King it wasn’t funny! He honestly won me over in the first book and
I didn’t want to believe what I had read so I went in with my fingers crossed
that I would continue to love him and I did.
He did not deserve to go through what Viola puts him through but what I
loved the most is he stayed true to his true self, not the manwhore we first
came to know him as. More than once I
fell in love with him.
Now I am almost on edge when it comes to the next book. I pray to the book gods that Kennedy Fox
doesn’t make me hate them (temporarily of course) because the potential is
there if it goes in the direction I am cringing at thinking. While I had some issues with Checkmate This Is Love I still laughed
my ass off more than once and did like it a lot.
