About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Una
To many, I am little more than a myth. The Kiss of Death, a hired killer, revered by some of the greatest criminal organisations in the world. Trained by the bratva themselves, without conscience, without mercy, the perfect soldier. I’ll kill anyone… for a price. Death doesn’t discriminate, she sells to the highest bidder, but even I have a weakness. Nero I want one thing—power. But power is merely a game of strategy. The pieces are on the chess board. Death is my queen, and also my pawn. She’ll paint this city red in exchange for the one thing she wants. Now all I have to do is watch it all play out. She’s nothing more than a weapon, and yet, I find myself wanting to dance with death, to possess her. And I always get what I want. A game of power. A risk that could cost her everything. An obsession that would see the world burn at their feet. A bloodied king. A broken queen. Kill me or kiss me?

So as I sit here to type up this review I am in a way torn.  I LOVE Dark books as well as mafia ones and Kill Me was a great combination of both, but I am left not only wondering what will happen next (it is a cliffhanger and that isn’t bothering me) but if the connection between Una and Nero is strong enough to keep me invested into the next book.  Don’t get me wrong, that darkness, that violence between the two of them kept my attention for the most part throughout the book but I think some things may have been a little bit too drawn out and after a while I just wanted them to move forward.  This is a dark romance people, there is violence, a lot of it and at times it is between Una and Nero so you may want to keep that in mind before you start if that isn’t your type of read.  The secrets that both Nero and Una have will keep you wondering what will happen next and questioning if you have figure them out only to be left with questioning yourself even more.  So maybe I will read the next one after all just to see if my suspicions are true and to see what Una and Nero will do next.

S Y N O P S I S:
0.5 in The Kiss of Death Series. Prequel novella to Kill Me.
At thirteen years old I was sold, doomed to become a sex slave. Nicholai Ivanov, boss of the Russian Bratva, gave me the ultimate gift. He saved me from a fate worse than death. He promised to make me strong, because only the strong survive, and the weak die, forgotten and inconsequential. I now live in a world of blood and violence, where humanity itself is a weakness. My life is not a battle of bad and good, but bad and worse. This is kill or be killed, survival of the fittest. Make me or break me?
