About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Hades By Elda Lore

“Welcome to Hell.”

Persephone Fields is just an average girl: beloved daughter and loyal friend. One night decides her Fate, when the prince of The Underworld becomes her savior and her kidnapper.

Hades has lived centuries in darkness and sin. When he decides to save the blonde goddess, he doesn’t consider the ramifications of his decision to bring her into his realm.

Two worlds divided struggle to find friendship in a history of family discord beyond their control. When attraction blurs the line, questions result in choices of love or loyalty.

A modern twist of the classic myth: Hades and Persephone, this version incorporates the sensual tension of opposites divided by contemporary humanity and mythical underworlds. Also reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, this is a love story ripe with desire.

Author’s note: This book contains scenes of sexual intimacy.

I love all things Mythology, I was hooked on it when I had my class in high school and even now I love to read about the gods and goddesses even if it is in a romance book so when I saw Hades I was super excited.  A modern day version of the story of Hades and Persephone?  I was like hell yes!  But I was sadly disappointed, the pacing was slow and at times I was bored.  I did enjoy the Romeo & Juliette twist and had really hoped for a much different book than that one that I read.  It could be a situation of it’s me not the book or I could be in the minority but I wanted more.  The buildup of their relationship didn’t live up to what it could have been.  I felt there were a lot of issues left unresolved and that in end if felt cut off with no closure.   Maybe others will enjoy it more than I did, but sadly this is one I will not be reading again.
