About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Feature Tour! Jaded Regret By L.L. Collins

THE BAD BOY: I’m Johnny. An ex-con with a bad attitude and a controlling demeanor that somehow made the women flock to my bed but never my heart. It was unavailable for possession.

THE TEMPTATION: She was just supposed to be a two day hookup. But one taste of her and I knew I was in danger of never getting enough. She had her own demons to contend with, and dealing with my own was hard enough. I won't allow temptation to take control of me.

THE SENTENCE: I'd given myself a life sentence a long time ago, and she made me want things I wouldn't allow myself to have. Giving into it just might destroy us both.

BEAU has never known a good life, only the torment that lives inside his head every day. The only way to block out the darkness that shrouds him is through the rhythmic beat of his drums. Knowing what happens when he opens up to anyone, Beau buries his pain deep inside, keeping it all to himself.

APRIL has lived a life of wealth and privilege, full of love and support. Her only insight into what it's like to have a rough life is through her work with foster children. When she meets Beau, it starts as a challenge to get through to him but quickly turns into much more than either of them bargained for.

TOGETHER, they are mismatched, ill-fated, and COMBUSTIBLE. But when their connection is challenged by the collision of past, present, and future,

will they be snared by love... or circumstances?

So originally when I had first read Snared I didn’t review it, not because it wasn’t good but because I was on a tight time frame but I had always planned on going backing and doing so well, this has become the perfect opportunity to finally review a book that I really loved.  This review is actually going to be short and quick because I want each and every one of you to go experience this series for yourself, and if you weren’t aware this is the second book in the series.  April and Beau will own your heart and snare you into their net okay even for me that was a bad one I apologize but I am keeping it there.  The emotions, the angst, the situations will all pull at your heart and have you hooked to your kindle (or favorite reading device) wanting more.  Snared is a definite must read in this book whore’s book!

Tanner Hart, the All-American bad boy bass guitarist of Jaded Regret, has one motto— play women’s bodies like he does the strings of his guitar— hard, in tune, and giving it his all until the show is over. The only strings he wants attached to him are the ones he plays on the stage.

He has quite the reputation, even with his own band, and he likes it that way. It keeps the truth of who he really is locked deep inside. But there's so much more to him than anyone really knows…

Now that he’s successful, he can afford to find out what really happened to the only girl who’s ever held his heart. The only thing is…will he really want to know the truth?

When Mackenzie ‘Mac’ Shepard finds herself in a situation she’s been in too many times before, she expects to do what she’s always done— cover it up, accept the apologies, and move on. She knows trying to get out is futile. What she doesn’t expect is for the world famous Tanner Hart to burst into her life like a knight in sexy armor.

When their lives collide and hearts get involved, can Tanner keep his hartstrings from being tangled up in his past, or can he make a new kind of music... with his heart?

****Please Note This Review Has Been Previously Posted In Another Post For This Book***

I have only recently discovered the Jaded Regret series by L.L. Collins and this is one that I am really liking. Hartstrings is the third book in the series and it is Tanner’s book. Now I am going to keep this review short and sweet because I want you to not only read this book but the entire series.

If you have read the previous books you know what Tanner’s reputation is, and I will be honest I had already formed an opinion about him that I wasn’t sure would change. But, it did. There is so much more to Tanner and a big part of that is Mac. We get to see the real Tanner, but also be prepared because this is one emotional read especially when it comes to Mac. I think these two not only were perfect for each other but healed the pain and heartache that they kept inside. Be prepared to cry, you will form tears while reading this one. Tanner and Mac will have a special place in this book whore’s heart, and hopefully yours as well if you read it.

What do you do when all your secrets-- and your heart-- are exposed?

Natalie Anderson has spent her life being strong for everyone else, always putting herself last. But that has come with a price because the stress and secrets are affecting every part of her life. Looking and acting the part is one thing, but feeling it is another. She knows she’s at a crossroads and she needs to make a change, starting with loosening up and living a little.

Kai Pierson is done being a grunt. He’s finally worked his way up the ladder and he now finds himself a rep at the hottest label, representing the hottest band in all of rock music. He’s living the life…alone, but he’s okay with that. It’s the way it needs to be.

Though they’ve never met in person, they become friends and spend hours talking about life. When the chance to meet arrives, neither of them are ready how they feel when they see each other for the first time.

But when Natalie’s secrets are exposed, will she be able to put it all behind her and find her own happiness, or will the lies destroy her once and for all?
