Review! Sin City Submission by Jenna Jacob

For Quinn MacKinnon, playing with Ava Gibbs’s body is easy. Playing with his beautiful submissive’s mind will take far more patience and creativity. Gambling their future, he plots to test her limits, relishing the opportunity to push her harder than ever.

With one sexy dare after another, Quinn thrusts Ava into an extraordinary sensual journey. In a battle of wills, he wages a war for her heart. Can he persuade the strong-willed woman to surrender and become the submissive of his dreams?

This book was short, which you expect from a novella, but also had a lot of interesting characterization and a really great story progression. I love that you start in the middle of the relationship between Quinn and Ava, that you see it through her eyes...you know, as she does, that Quinn has told her this will be something different, but you don't know what. This connection with Ava allows it to work well.

The writing was mostly strong, as was the pacing. The BDSM portions realistic without feeling like the author was writing with the goal of shocking the reader. It was fun, it was hot, and it was definitely worth the time to read.

I recommend this...especially for people who are just starting out with the more erotic romances, as while it was hot, and definitely not "vanilla" it wasn't too extreme to get your feet wet, so to speak.

I recommend this novella.
