The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn business―his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business―and went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us―telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I'd never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I'd run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again...
What were the chances a month later he'd wind up being my new sexy boss?
There are only a handful of authors that I know when I pick up their book that I know it will be one I love. Vi Keeland is one of those authors. Bossman was everything I have come to expect from Ms. Keeland and so much more.
I really loved Chase, from the very start he was hilarious, charming, sexy and every bit the type of male character that I love to read about. But you could sense that there was so much more to him that what was shown, that there was a depth to his soul that something has made him this way.
Reese took me a little while to warm up to. In fact I was messaging a friend who is also a reviewer and had read the book before I did asking and pleading please tell me she gets better, and she promised that once I continued on that I would understand so much more about Reese. She was right. Once you learn more about Reese’s past you quickly want to open up your arms and take away old wounds. Same goes with Chase, he will have you wishing that you could heal his heart while at the same time wishing for a Chase of your very own.
Bossman kept me captivated from the beginning until the very last words at the end. I laughed, my stomach would ache because of angst, I would have tears form and some fell, my heart would race and a smile you be on my face. Those things are what I have felt every single time I have picked up a book by Vi Keeland and Bossman only added to why I love her books as much as I do. This is one that anyone looking for a sexy, funny, and sweet romance, one that will add to your love of books, then Bossman is one you must read.
