About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

ARC Review! Sugar Rush by Sawyer Bennett

In the steamy and suspenseful sequel to Sugar Daddy (“A totally gripping take on romance and revenge!”—Lauren Blakely), a heartbreaking rift threatens to unravel a dangerous alliance . . . and a fragile new love.

After posing as an escort for the Sugar Bowl online dating service, Sela Halstead is looking for one thing: payback. She's closing in on the site's heartless founder, Jonathon Townsend, and she needs Beckett North, Townsend's business partner and her lover, by her side. She'd thought that their intimate nights together had forged an unbreakable bond, but after a shocking betrayal, Sela begins to doubt the brilliant bad boy. When push comes to shove, can she trust Beck to do the right thing?

Now that he understands the truth, Beck will stop at nothing to secure the reckoning Sela deserves. But between his desire for her and his disgust for JT, Beck doesn't exactly have a lot of control over his emotional state. Left with no other choice, he must summon all his discipline to maintain JT's trust and pretend that they're still friends. But how far will Beck go to prove his loyalty to Sela? He nearly lost her once. To keep her, Beck might have to kill for her.
First, I have to admit that I waited until I had the ARC for the 3rd one before reading this....because...well....CLIFFHANGER.

The first one had me pressing the page turn button on my Kindle and praying for more. This one...well, let me just say I would have screamed like a crazy person had I not had the 3rd one waiting for me.

Now, that said. A good cliffhanger is kind of fun. There is something to be said for the conversations you have with other readers who WANT. TO. KNOW. WHAT. HAPPENS. Who speculate like crazy people while begging in fan groups for an early copy....wait, is that all just me?

Anyway....oh, good, not just me.

So, this book is as good as you want it to be. And because it is THAT GOOD the cliffhanger is BRUTAL. Do I advise to wait to read this? Yes, and no (see above). But what I can say is that the writing is wonderful, the story is compelling, the characters are believable and you cheer for them even when you aren't totally on board with the things they are doing...as that is the fun, right? Getting into the head of someone you would not want to be and living their life for a while is why you read...isn't it? Well, then you are going to want to read this one. Even though there is a cliffhanger, it is well worth the ride.

You won't be disappointed. And, yes, it is seriously impossible to discuss this book without giving away the "what happens" of the first one...and I am not going to do that...especially as you are *this close* to being able to read it for yourself!
