About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Some Odds are Meant to be Played...

PLACE YOUR BET

The Hotel Rodeo in Las Vegas has seen better days, but managing partner Ty Morgan has come up with a way to return it to its former glory. His plan looks promising until the unthinkable happens. Suddenly Ty is working for the boss’s daughter. And Miss Monica Brandt, hot as she may be, doesn’t share his vision…

ROLL THE DICE

She left a fabulous career and a frustrated fiancĂ© in New York to move to Vegas and save her father’s investment. But now Monica is locking horns with a sexy cowboy-turned-businessman. What does Ty think he can do that she can’t? All Monica knows is that she doesn’t dare trust him—or is it herself she doesn’t trust...

AND WIN
So it’s been a while since I have read a cowboy romance, not sure why they have sort of slipped to the bottom of my TBR pile but they had.  When I saw there was a tour for three cowboy books I decided that it was time for me to get back on the saddle so to speak and check them out.  Hell On Heels is the first book in the Hotel Rodeo series and it was okay.  I wasn’t blown away by it by any means but it got me curious to see if the remaining books would be better or I would like them more.

I have a very hard time with Monica throughout the entire book; she just never won me over.  Ty could be an asshole, there is no denying that but he slowly worked his way onto my good side.  You know how oil and water don’t mix well that is a great example of these two.  For some reason though, I just continued reading when I was tempted to set it aside and move onto one of my other books on my huge TBR stack.  While I didn’t love Hell On Heels I am glad that I stuck it out.  It was an okay read and maybe it is because this is the first time I have read anything by this author that I am just not used to her writing style, but since the way this one ends I had to rad the next book just to see what does happen between these two.  I still say give this one a shot, maybe it is just me but I wouldn’t ever tell anyone not to read a book because I wasn’t blown away.  Form your own opinions and see if Hell On Heels will work for you.
