About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Review! Sass By Laramie Briscoe

I, Cassandra Straight, have loved Reed Shamrock to distraction since I was a teenager. I even watched him fall in love with someone else and almost get married.

A year ago, when he walked into his house and found his fiancĂ©e’s face in his best friend’s crotch, his life changed forever and it hasn’t been the same since.

On his first night out since the horrible incident, we run into the ex-skank. Seeing the devastation in his eyes, I made a promise that I would help him get over her. I told him that a pretend relationship between us would work. It would help him move on.

I didn’t count on my heart or his getting in the way. And I sure as hell didn’t count on not being able to tell when pretend turned to reality. When it all implodes, the only thing left is the truth.

Sometimes though, the truth? It hides and we have to dig deep to find it. To make it come to the surface, we have to give it a little talking to. We have to give it a little Sass.

Do you know one of the many reasons why I love this author as much as I do?  It is because even when she writes something different than what her fans are used  to from her, takes the risk of trying something new even if it means that it won’t be liked, she still puts it out there and so far every time she has succeeded.  Sass is just another example of that success.

You know how much I love a sassy woman, hello I am one and I love to read about them as well.  Cassandra aka Sass lives up to her nickname and I loved every single thing about her.  There is a fine line between being full of sass or being bitchy, and she was just full of sass.  Reed, I loved how it wasn’t an instant realization that he had feelings for his best friend’s little sister.  I think that brought more depth to the storyline, even though Sass had feelings for him, unlike so many others she wasn’t in his face about it and that was a welcomed change when so many others are not subtle or discrete.

Sass is a great friends to lovers romance, I love these types of books, I just think there is that added connection that makes their relationship so much more.  Reed and Sass will not only win your hearts but will have you smiling and feeling the all love between these two.  Let’s not forget the sex, it was hot!  If you are looking for a good friend to lovers romance then this is the one you need to read, the way this author writes will make you love her and her books.  Go check out Sass today and find a new book to love!
