About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

ARC Review! Felony Ever After

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.
Felony Ever After is so stupidly funny that you can’t help but laugh.  Hudson, Verity, and the rest of the characters will quickly weasel their ways into your heart, even if a certain boss is beyond creepy.  I loved the tweets that Verity would post and Hudson’s as well.  I also loved how these authors had a message come across all the laugh out loud, shaking your head and snorting moments.  That message was not to judge a book by its cover, or in this case the cab stealing tattooed “criminal” that Verity makes Hudson out to be.  With each chapter you slowly start to look outside the box and wonder what Hudson is up to and why is Verity’s boss such a creeper.  I have had a bad couple of days and Felony Ever After was the perfect way to just let myself laugh and forget what is going on in my life.

Each of these authors individually are very talented and I see some new authors I will need to check out. The concept behind the book is really taking a co-authored book to a whole new level.  I am not saying that every attempt at doing something like these authors have done would work, but for these thirteen authors, it didn’t only work, it worked very well.  Felony Ever After is one I am recommending to anyone who loves a good laugh, or for anyone who needs one during some stressful times because if this book doesn’t make you laugh then you have no sense of humor.
